Pink Ribbon Fridays: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Woman Within Easy Update Banner
As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Did you know that:
  • It is estimated that 182,460 women will be diagnosed with and 40,480 women will die of cancer of the breast in 2009
  • 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast during their lifetime
  • More than 2.3 million women in the U.S. have survived breast cancer or are living with breast cancer today
  • Except for skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women
  • Early detection and treatment offers the best chance of survival
  • Screening tests can find cancer early, when it’s most treatable
  • Every woman should protect herself by doing regular self breast exams!
Emitations.com is going to great lengths to do their part for raising awareness and helping fund research into breast cancer.  In October they are running their Pink Ribbon Fridays, where you have the chance to win one of their pink suede breast cancer charm necklaces (see banner at the bottom of the page).  All you have to do is write them who you would like to give this gift to and why.  You can find the contest  HERE or click on the banner below.

Breast Cancer NecklaceThey also have a 2-for-1 sale on their "Beverly Ann's Breast Cancer Awareness Necklace".  Get 2 of these pretty necklaces for only $24.99.  Wear these designs with pride, because 25% of all sales go to the Susan G. And if the deal was not sweet enough, get free domestic shipping on orders over $75 and free international shipping on orders of over $125.  You can take $4 off your order of $35 or more with the code: AFTF  (valid until October 31, 2009).

If you win one of the necklaces we would love to hear about it!
